When you take the time to learn our family's methods and roll out structured chore expectations, you'll start to see positive changes in your home within just days or weeks:
No more nagging or yelling to get simple chores done! The kids take initiative on their own and understand the why.
Tasks get completed more thoroughly and with greater pride since your child feels empowered and needed.
You have more quality bonding time as a family with shared chores out of the way.
Kids gain confidence mastering useful life skills like cleaning, organizing, cooking, and time management.
You can breathe easier and finally relax, reducing parent stress and resentment.
Kids learn the satisfaction of contributing to the family's wellbeing.
Our chore charts for kids are not just lists; they're stepping stones to essential mindset shifts and actual life skills!

The Raising Good Helpers method focuses less on the tasks themselves and more on how they drive internal motivation, self-confidence, and contribute to the whole family's wellbeing.
The ABCs are the most critical aspect of deciding on tasks for your child:
Autonomy - Your child has control over scheduling and completing the tasks.
Belonging - Your child sees how their contribution fits into the family.
Competence - Your child takes pride in doing learning to do a new task.
Significance - Your child feels needed and that their place in the family matters.
Once you've ensured that tasks assigned help satisfy the ABCs, you can skip the nagging and reminding and instead focus on encouragement & affirmation...the jobs get done, I promise!
Unlike gimmicky systems that rely on rewards, my approach taps into kids' intrinsic motivation and need for autonomy, competence, and significance. The charts are a tool, not the end goal.
I provide specific scripts and techniques to gain buy-in from busy or reluctant kids. My system works even for families who've never done structured chores before.
No - I don't recommend tying money directly to completed chores. Instead, use small allowances to teach financial responsibility separately from chore expectations.
Sometimes we skip jobs when life gets crazy...and kids should learn that, too! Perfection is not the goal. I provide troubleshooting tips for adapting to busy seasons and skipping chores when needed. Flexibility is built into the system.
Most families notice a positive difference in independence, responsibility, and willingness to help within just 2-4 weeks of implementing the system. But long-term consistency is key.
My chore chart templates range from toddlers through teens....once you have the foundational elements down (especially teaching your child how the tasks they are doing relate to the ABCS then you can adjust it and add as the child ages and seasons change.
You get instant access to your PDF full of ready-to-print chore charts with typical tasks doable at each age and stage PLUS the video training that goes deep into the ABCs and how to scripts for rolling out the raising good helpers system. Everything you need to launch & implement a new plan for household tasks!
